Range Campus Development Plan Update Ð Public Hearing
1. Long Range Campus Development Plan
Update Ð Public Hearing
Background: The committee chair welcomed guests and introduced the public hearing process for the Long Range Campus Development Plan update. Staff reviewed the detailed summary of meetings and events that have been held during the update process, all intended to provide broad and effective opportunities for input.
Public Hearing: The committee chair opened the public hearing. No one commented. The committee chair closed the public hearing.
Discussion: Staff said the public hearing is the final step in this public participatory process. The lack of comments at the public hearing is likely because interested parties already have had ample opportunity to provide input.
Staff said all of the suggestions and comments gathered from a wide body of individuals and groups during the past three months will be consolidated into a summary of proposed substantive revisions to the January 25, 2005 draft version of the updated
campus plan. These proposed changes will be reviewed by the Campus Planning Committee at its upcoming meetings. If necessary, a second draft version of the updated plan that incorporates all of the changes will be prepared. The Campus Planning Committee will review and approve the final updated campus plan at the end of spring term.
Action: No formal action was required.
